Biography

Larry Page, a founder and first chief executive officer of Google Inc., continues to share responsibility for Google's day-to-day operations.  Mr. Page graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, where he earned a B.S. in engineering with a concentration on computer engineering.  While in the Ph.D. program in computer science at Stanford University, he met Sergey Brin, with whom he developed and ran Google beginning in 1998.  Mr. Page took leave from Stanford after earning his master's degree. 

In 2002, Mr. Page was named a World Economic Forum Global Leader for Tomorrow.  In 2004, he and Google co-founder Sergey Brin were honored with the Marconi Prize.  Mr. Page is a trustee on the board of the X PRIZE and was elected to membership in the National Academy of Engineering in 2004.
