C. Ryan Land Electronics Engineer, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)
Louisiana Tech University, 2013, B.S. Electrical Engineering

“I joined the GCSP at Louisiana Tech University, and it encouraged me to give back to my colleagues through peer tutoring, to explore entrepreneurship in the Top Dawg Idea Pitch, and to look beyond the textbooks, understanding the impact that engineering has on the broader world. I also interned in the U.S. Senate in 2010, where I worked primarily with non-engineers and gained valuable insight on the day-to-day operations of Congress. After graduation, I worked at Texas Instruments as an Application Engineer for 2 years, where I was a primary technical contact for standard logic integrated circuits. I decided to go back to for a M. Eng in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University via the ASEE S.M.A.R.T Scholarship (STEM scholarship for national defense). I am currently an electronics engineer in the defense industry in southern California.”
