“I entered USC knowing that I wanted to work in the field of renewable energy technologies. The GCSP provided the ideal framework for me to contextualize my educational and career aspirations. The emphasis on being bold and solving problems at a global scale led me to pursue a PhD from UC Berkeley. My lab focuses on novel controls, modeling, & optimization research that solves key challenges in energy such as advanced battery management systems, electrified vehicle grid integration, and building energy management.
Beyond just research, GCSP and my time spent as a project manager for Engineers Without Borders at USC motivated me to help build a world that is both better equipped to solve the 14 Grand Challenges and more equitable. As I conclude my graduate work, I look forward to moving onto a career that pushes society forward for everyone.”
