Biography

“GCSP showed me that engineers of the 21st century must be interdisciplinary. The world's problems cannot be solved by one industry, one company, or one major. Effectively communicating a technology's solution is just as important as innovating the technology itself. As an environmental engineer working in renewable energy, I've grown to understand how complex the world's systems are, and how useful a holistic problem-solving approach can be. I am currently a Schneider Fellow from Stanford University, working for the Rocky Mountain Institute in the Islands Energy Program. I am working to deploy solar and battery storage microgrids in Puerto Rico to increase island energy resilience in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. I'm grateful to GCSP for underscoring the importance of becoming a global engineer and citizen, for a better world.”
