“I am passionate about the NAE Grand Challenge of engineering better medicines. While at USC, I constructed a computational model which can inform the design of new therapies for diabetes. Through an internship last summer with the National Cancer Institute, I developed algorithms to help understand how cancer cells become resistant to chemotherapy. Additionally, I have been involved in patient advocacy with the National Eczema Association. In the future, I hope to combine my interest in engineering and medicine by pursuing a career as a physician scientist.”
